Awareness Camps on HIV/Aids

To build social awareness on sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS in project areas of Phanigiri, Tirumalagiri and Nagaram, Suryapet mandals for urban poor and homeless people in Suryapet District. We haveprovided access to appropriate and meaningful information, by raising awareness and encouraging discussion through Educative Entertainment and information. The Awareness Programme was in local language for better and easy understanding through IEC Materials.

Our Peer Educators in project target areas has staged Street Theatre Shows andPuppet Shows. During the Shows, our other Peer educators had made referrals to approach and follow up with the help of Primary Health CareCenters and Government Hospitals. After the event we have distributed Free Condoms units in target village Hotspots.The programme was implemented with our Local Individuals and SPDS Contributions.
